Dolls Houses & Toys

During my life I have painted and renovated twenty-four dolls houses and hundreds of little toys, a labour of love which began in the 1970’s when my husband Garry made a simple replica of our Cape Cod House, at 521 Great Western Highway in Faulconbridge. I called this first house ‘The Faulconbridge House’. I renovated this dolls house in 2014 for our twin granddaughters, Ivy and Juniper.

The dolls houses all have names: the Faulconbridge Dolls House, the Blackheath Dolls House, the Terracotta Post Office House, the Pink Post Office House, the Heart House, the Red Ebenezer House, the Lavender Ebenezer House, the Gothic Tudor Mansion, the Italian Villa, the Allara House, the Swiss House, the Lemon Tree Passage House, the Arabian Nights Palace, the Stone Water Mill, the Dundas Valley House, the Lidcombe House, the Little Red Box House, the Little Blue Box House, the Mallabula Gallery, the Butterfly House, the Leiden House, The Tiny Dutch Warehouse and The Dutch Row House.

In addition to the dolls houses I have decorated articulated giraffes, elephants, unicorns, crocodiles and dogs. Also push-up toys, boats, lighthouses, art cases, jewellery cases, photo frames, Advent calendars, toy furniture, miniature paintings on easels, stained glass windows and painted canvases, miniature and full-sized toy pianos, bridal glory boxes, crockery, Kokeshi dolls, character skittles, little people & abacuses.
